Why Runners Should Lift Weights!

Hustle for that muscle!

Friends.... do you lift weights? Are you afraid to getting “big” or hurting yourself? Lifting when done properly can be a GAME CHANGER! As a certified personal trainer for over 13 years I have seen lives change through lifting- back pain gone, muscular imbalances and postural issues fixed, runners and athletes getting faster, stronger and setting new records, body composition improved. The list goes on and ON. Here are 5 of the many reasons why runners (and everyone) should strength train regularly.

1) Injury Prevention
2) Lower Body Fat
3) Faster
4) Better “kick” at the end of a race.
5) Improved Body Composition (no you won’t look like an Olympic lifter )

I’m working hard to provide more tips and strength based workouts for all of you as well as making lifting a main priority in my training again. It’s been on the back burner for far too long and I’m looking forward to my own positive changes from that list above.
